Malta introduces a citizenship by investment program
The scheme aims to attract reputable individuals and their dependants who will make a significant contribution to social and economic development of the country.
The main requirements are as follows;
1. A one off contribution amounting to €650,000
2. An investment into Maltese Government bonds etc of at least €150,000
3. Purchase of residential property with a minimum value of €350,000 or rental of a residential property with a minimum annual rental of €16,000
4. A year’s residence in Malta
The applicant will also be able to obtain Maltese citizenship for his/her family upon payment of a fee of €25,000 for a spouse and each child under 18 and a payment of €50,000 for children between the age of 18 and 26 or parents over 55.
